To obtain or maintain an EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) recognised flight crew licence, it is mandatory to hold an aeromedical fitness certificate. This must be issued by an authorised AeMC (Aeromedical Centre) under the HCAA (Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority).

In Athens, aeromedical examinations are conducted at the 251 Hellenic Air Force Aeromedical Center (K.A.I.), an AeMC certified to assess the physical and mental fitness of civilian pilots.

  • Class 1 Certificate – Professional Pilots (CPL, ATPL)
  • Class 2 Certificate – Private Pilots (PPL)
