Airline Pilot Course

Integrated ATPL (A) - Airline Trasport Pilot License

COURSE AIM AND OBJECTIVES


The Integrated ATPL(A) course aims to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to enable them to operate as co-pilot on multi-pilot, multi-engine aircraft in commercial air transportation and to obtain the CPL(A)/IR license.


ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS


  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Good knowledge of mathematics and physics
  • Good knowledge of English language (ideally at a B2 level)
  • 1st Class medical certificate issued by an EASA Aeromedical Centre (see Aeromedical Infomation page)


COURSE STRUCTURE


Theoretical Knowledge

750 hours of instruction which include:

  • 550 hours of class instruction
  • 200 hours of briefings, long briefings, transition courses and MCC course

The ground course comprises of the following subjects:

  • Air Law
  • Aircraft General Knowledge
  • Performance
  • Flight Planning
  • Human Performance and Limitations
  • Meteorology
  • Navigation
  • Operational Procedures
  • Communications
  • Principles of Flight

Practical Training

Practical training comprises of 223 flight hours:

  • 83 in VFR (Visual Flight Rules) including UPRT and Night Rating
  • 100 in IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) including 40 on FNPTII Simulator and 12 on Multi Engine Aircraft
  • 40 Hours APS MCC (Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Coordination course - 20 hours as “Pilot Flying” and 20 hours as “Pilot Monitoring”) on Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 Simulator

Cessna 152 (Phases 1 to 3 and 6)

Cessna 172 (Phase 4)

Diamond DA42 (Phase 4)

Boeing 737-800W or Airbus A320 Simulator (Phase 5 - APS MCC)

Alsim ALX Simulator (Phase 4)


COURSE DURATION


The course will last between 24 and 36 months.


LICENSE OBTAINED


  • EASA CPL(A) / IR Flight Crew License
  • Multi Engine Class Rating (MEP)
  • APS MCC Certificate (Airline Pilot Standards Multi Crew Cooperation Course) on Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 - as requested.
  • ATPL Theory certificate (Frozen ATPL)
  • Advanced UPRT Course Certificate
  • PBN (Performance Based Navigation) Certificate.


CREDITS


Holders of a PPL license are entitled to a credit of 50% of the aircraft hours flown by the entrant prior to the course up to a credit of 40 hours flying experience or 45 hours if an aeroplane night flying qualification has been obtained. Crediting is provided at the discretion of our ATO.
