The course objectives are to train applicants to achieve and demonstrate the required skills and competencies to fly a Cessna C510 Citation Mustang in both normal and emergency situations, and to comply with the type rating issue requirements as mandated by the competent authority.
Courses are available in either Single Pilot Operations (SPO) and/or Multi Pilot Operations (MPO). Applicants should check with their operator and/or competent authority on which type of operations they require to qualify for.
Transition courses between SPO and MPO, including renewal (refresher/recurrent) and TRI/SFI training courses, are available for this aircraft type.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
C510 SPO - Single Pilot Entry Requirements
- Private Pilot License (with ATPL theory credit or HPSPA theory course completion certificate) or higher
- Class 2 Medical Certificate (IR checked) or higher
- Multi Engine Instrument Rating (IR-ME)
- Advanced UPRT Course completion certificate (first HP Type Rating course only)
- English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher
- 500 hours total time, of which 70 as PIC*
- * Aviomar ATO recommends a minimum of at least 1500hrs total time of which at least 500hrs on Jet aircraft to operate this high performance complex aircraft type in single-pilot operations.
C510 MPO - Multi Pilot Entry Requirements
- CPL/IR-ME license (with theoretical knowledge ATPL credit) or higher
- Class 1 Medical certificate
- MCC Course Completion Certificate (first MP Type Rating course only)
- Multi Engine Instrument Rating (IR-ME)
- Advanced UPRT Course completion certificate (first HP Type Rating course only)
- English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher
- 200 hours total time, 70 hours of flight experience as PIC

Theoretical Knowledge Instruction
- 36 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction on eLearning (remote)
- 14 hours of classroom instruction
- Theoretical Knowledge Examination
Practical Instruction
- 4 hours on Instrument Panel Trainer IPT (OTD) Citation C510 or FBS Citation C510 with Instructor
- 16 hours training on Citation C510 Full Flight Simulator with Instructor
- 2 hours skill test on Citation C510 Full Flight Simulator with Examiner
- 6 take-offs, 6 landings, 1 go-around on aircraft with TRI (4/4/1 for experienced pilots with at least 500 hours on aircraft of similar size and performance)
