COURSE AIM & OBJECTIVES
The aim of the High Performance Aeroplane theoretical knowledge course is to provide the holder of a PPL(A) license with sufficient knowledge of those aspects of the operation of aeroplanes capable of operating at high speeds and altitudes, and the aircraft systems necessary for such operation.
This course is required to satisfy the entry requirements to a high performance complex aeroplane type rating cose such as that of the Cessna Citation Mustang, 525, Embraer Phenom 100, etc.

Course Structure
The HPA TK Course is composed of the following elements:
Theoretical training via our web-based system (self-study distance learning):
- The applicant who has completed a modular IR(A) course according to Part FCL Appendix 6 A only needs to complete the VFR part of this course: 27 hours (VFR Only).
- The applicant who has completed a competency-based modular IR(A) course according to Part FCL Appendix 6 Aa needs to complete both VFR and IFR parts of this course: 49 hours (VFR+IFR).
- Theoretical class with instructor (1-2 days on site or virtual classroom):
- VFR Only: 6 hours.
- VFR+IFR: 9 hours.
- Theory Examination (1 /2 day on site).
Course Admission (Entry) Requirements:
- Valid PPL(A) License or higher
- Adequate knowledge of the English language (ICAO Lever 4 or B2)
Course Duration and Location
The duration of the course is approximately 2 to 4 weeks.
As Theory Training is mostly conducted online, you may expect approximately 1 or 2 days stay (TK Class+ TKE) in our Aviomar Monterotondo Training Center (Rome) for the TK Examination.
