- A Modern and Diverse Fleet, Flanked by Next-Generation Simulators: We believe that superior training requires tools of equal calibre. For this reason, we place an impressive and diverse fleet of 23 aircraft at your disposal. From single-engine aircraft, perfect for taking your first steps, to multi-engine aircraft, essential for advanced training, every aircraft is maintained to the most rigorous safety and performance standards. These are complemented by our 6 Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD), including next-generation units essential for preparing you for complex airline operations and obtaining specific ratings.
- An Exclusive Strategic Partnership: Your Direct Pathway to Ryanair: One element that distinguishes us and fills us with pride is our consolidated and strategic partnership with Ryanair, Europe's number one airline. For years, Aviomar has been the sole training partner in Italy chosen by Ryanair for the complete preparation of its future pilots. Through the exclusive "Future Flyer Academy" programme, we manage a standardised and rigorous training path with the utmost professionalism. This programme combines in-depth theoretical lessons, intensive training on state-of-the-art flight simulators (including the specific Boeing 737 simulator), and solid practical flight experience. Being part of this programme not only ensures training aligned with the airline's highest standards but also offers our most deserving cadets preferential access to selections for the Boeing 737 Type Rating and, consequently, a concrete and prestigious opportunity to launch an international career with an undisputed industry leader. Aviomar's primary goal is to forge highly qualified pilots ready for a successful career on the flight deck of Ryanair aircraft.
A Training Path Designed for You: From First Thrill to the Flight Deck
We know that every aspiring pilot is unique, with different dreams, ambitions, and backgrounds. That is why Aviomar's training offer is designed to be flexible, modular, and customisable. Whether you are taking your first steps in the world of aviation driven by pure curiosity, or you are an expert professional looking for advanced flight certifications, we have the right path for you. Our goal is yours: to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and qualifications necessary to excel and stand out.
If the Sky is Your New Frontier (First Steps in Flying)
Have you always watched planes streak above you with a mixture of admiration and curiosity? It is time to turn that curiosity into action:
- Introductory Flight: Not entirely sure if piloting is your vocation? Put yourself to the test! Our Introductory Flight is an unforgettable experience: flanked by one of our expert instructors, you will take the controls for a short flight, savouring the exhilarating sensation of freedom that only flying can give. It could be the beginning of a great adventure!
- Private Pilot Licence (PPL): Your first entry ticket into the world of flight. With a PPL, you can fly single-engine piston aircraft for recreational purposes, sharing the thrill of flight with friends and family on non-commercial flights. It also represents a solid starting point if you are seriously considering becoming a professional pilot.
- Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL): A more accessible and streamlined option compared to the PPL, ideal for those wishing to fly for pure pleasure on lighter aircraft, primarily within European airspace.
Destination Career: Becoming a Commercial Pilot (ATPL, CPL)
If your gaze is fixed on the goal of sitting in the flight deck of an airliner, or if you aspire to a career as a commercial pilot in other aviation sectors, Aviomar offers structured and complete pathways to reach the pinnacle of the profession:
- ATPL Integrated (Airline Transport Pilot Licence): This is the "all-inclusive" path, the most direct and efficient route for those starting from zero and aiming straight for an airline pilot licence. The Integrated ATPL programme guides you through all necessary phases: from basic theory to practical flight, up to obtaining the so-called "Frozen ATPL". This qualification includes the Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), the Instrument Rating (IR) on Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) aircraft, and the MCC (Multi-Crew Cooperation), PBN (Performance Based Navigation), and ADV UPRT (Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training) certifications. Once you reach 1,500 total flight hours with an airline, the ATPL becomes "Unfrozen" or "Full", and you can complete a check to request the issuance of the ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence), the highest certification to which a pilot can aspire.
- Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL): If you prefer a more gradual approach or have already started your journey, you can opt for the CPL in a modular format. After obtaining the PPL and accumulating the required flight experience, you can access this course, which will qualify you to operate as a professional pilot in various activities, such as aerial work or passenger transport on single-engine or multi-engine aircraft (depending on ratings).
- Distance Learning: We understand that life's commitments can be manifold. For this reason, we offer the possibility of following the theoretical part of numerous courses via Distance Learning. This flexibility allows you to study at your own pace, wherever and whenever you want, balancing your passion for flight with other personal or professional commitments.
- ICAO/EASA Licence Conversions: Are you a pilot holding a flight licence issued by an aviation authority outside Europe (ICAO)? Our team of experts will provide all the necessary support to tackle the conversion path and obtain an EASA licence, fully recognised in all member countries and many other nations worldwide.
For Licensed Pilots: Perfecting Skills and Conquering New Ratings
The world of aviation is constantly evolving, and continuous training is the key to remaining competitive and seizing new opportunities. If you are already a licensed pilot, Aviomar offers a wide range of specialisation courses:
- Instrument Rating (IR): A "must-have" for every professional pilot. The IR confers the ability to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), relying exclusively on onboard instrumentation without the need for external visual references. This rating is crucial for operating in marginal or complex weather conditions and for flying along controlled airways.
- Performance Based Navigation (PBN): A fundamental refresher course to familiarise yourself with and master modern navigation procedures based on aircraft performance (PBN), which are becoming the global standard for more precise and efficient air navigation.
Specialisation on Different Classes of Aircraft (Class Ratings)
Every aircraft has its peculiarities and requires specific training. Class Ratings qualify you to pilot certain classes of aircraft, expanding your operational range:
- Single Engine Piston (SEP): The rating to pilot single-engine piston aircraft, the foundation for many careers.
- Multi Engine Piston (MEP): A fundamental step for those aspiring to pilot larger and more complex aircraft; this rating qualifies you for multi-engine piston aircraft.
- Specific Turbine Ratings: We also offer courses for particular high-performance classes such as the Pilatus PC6 (a robust STOL aircraft) and Cessna SET (Single Engine Turbine), such as the versatile and widespread Cessna Caravan.
At the Peak of Professionalism: Type Ratings for Complex Jets and Airliners
To take the controls of sophisticated commercial jets, business jets, or airliners, it is indispensable to obtain a Type Rating specific to that aircraft model. This is one of the most coveted flight certifications, requiring intensive and highly specialised training. Thanks to our Full Motion simulators and our extensive experience, Aviomar is able to offer a complete portfolio of Type Ratings, including:
- Airbus: A320 Family (A318/A319/A320/A321)
- Boeing: B737 (Classic, NG, and MAX series), B777/787
- Cessna Citation: C650 Series (III, VI, VII), Type C510 Mustang, 500/550/560 Series, 501/551 Series
- Bombardier: Learjet 45/75 Series
- Hawker: HS125 (All series: 700/800/800XP/850XP/900XP)
- Embraer: EMB 135/145, Legacy 600/650
- CASA: C212 Aviocar
In addition to initial courses, we also provide training for Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ) (e.g., to transition from one Airbus type to another) and Base Training, the final practical training on the real aircraft, which completes the Type Rating path conducted in the simulator.
Sharing Passion, Shaping the Future: Become a Flight Instructor
If you have accumulated solid experience as a pilot and feel the desire to pass on your passion and knowledge to new generations, a career as a flight instructor could be your vocation. Aviomar offers a complete range of courses to train qualified and competent instructors:
- FI (Flight Instructor): To teach the basics of flight and prepare students for PPL and LAPL attainment.
- IRI (Instrument Rating Instructor): To specialise in teaching instrument flying.
- CRI (Class Rating Instructor): To qualify you to teach on specific classes of aircraft (SEP/MEP).
- TRI (Type Rating Instructor): To become an instructor on specific Type Ratings, training pilots on jets and complex aircraft.
- MCCI (Multi-Crew Coordination Instructor): To teach the fundamental principles of cooperation and communication within a multi-pilot crew.
We also regularly organise refresher seminars and assessments of competence on simulators to keep your instructor qualifications active and valid.
Enrich Your Professional Profile: Supplementary and Specialisation Courses
To make your CV even more complete and attractive to airlines, and to further refine your skills, we propose a series of targeted supplementary and specialisation courses:
- Airline Pilot Standards Multi-Crew Cooperation (APS MCC): An advanced MCC course, specifically designed to align your skills with the operational standards of major airlines. It is often a preferential, if not mandatory, requirement for admission to Type Ratings.
- Multi-Crew Coordination (MCC): A fundamental course to learn and put into practice techniques for effective communication, task division, and resource management within a flight crew composed of multiple members.
- Jet Orientation Training (JOT) / Advanced JOT: A transition and familiarisation course for jet operations, particularly useful for pilots coming from piston aircraft who are preparing to start a Type Rating on a jet aircraft.
- Aviation English and Test of English for Aviation (TEA/ELPE): Specific courses to improve command of Aviation English, the lingua franca of global aviation, and to prepare effectively for the ICAO language proficiency test (Level 4, 5, or 6).
- Specific Courses: We also offer training on crucial topics such as the transport of Dangerous Goods, Crew Resource Management (CRM) to optimise crew performance, Interview Assessment Preparation for airline selections, and Differences Training to transition between variants within the same aircraft type.
