This course trains pilots to obtain a Type Rating that allows the candidates to fly as a Captain or a Co-Pilot on the following types of aircraft of the Airbus Family:

  • A318  
  • A319
  • A320
  • A321
  • Familiarisation training on the different variants

The course is conducted exclusively by Instructor/Examiner Captains (SFI/TRI/TRE) with extensive experience in airlines on these aircraft. This course is fully completed at our training centre in Rome, Monterotondo and is recognized by all EASA Authorities, DGCA India, ANAC Brazil as well as many others.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid CPL/IR-ME (with ATPL Theory) or higher
  • Advanced UPRT course completion certificate (first MPA Type Rating only) 
  • Valid 1st class medical certificate
  • 70 flight hours as PIC
  • MCC course completion certificate (first MPA Type Rating only)

 

COURSE STRUCTURE

Theoretical Knowledge

  • 90 hours of theoretical training with Airbus CBT and instructor support 
  • 15 hours classroom training  (Systemns Review, Performance & Flight Planning).

Integration Training

  • Jet Induction Training (DGCA India courses only)
  • 37 hours divided in Cockpit Procedures Trainer (CPT), ECAM Trainer (ECAM-t) and Advanced Procedure Trainer (APT) or FBS

Practical Training

  • 32 hours in simulator FFS A320 (Training)
  • 4 hours on simulator FFS A320 (Skill Test)
  • 4 hours for LOFT and 4 hours for Night Skill Test are also included for DGCA India courses.

Base Training

6 take-offs and landings on the aircraft, plus one go around (4/4+1 G/A for pilots with at least 500 flight hours on MPA of similar dimensions and performance) 

 

DURATION

40 days

 

RENEWAL AND DIFFERENCES TRAINING

Our ATO is approved to train for the renewal of expired ratings.
